Water Damaged Huawei Nova 5 Pro Repair – Corrosion Location
This is a Huawei nova 5 Pro which was damaged by seawater.Now it refuses to boot up.Its owner got it repaired before us.
Take down the back cover and the screws as usaul.Here we apply some stickers to the cameras for protection.
Observe the motherboard,dismantle it.Obviously, its shielding cover was removed,that’s not an easy move.
Connect it to the stablized voltage power and check out its current.It doesn’t move.
Measure these connectors’ resistance respectively.One of it is supposed to be a regular number.However, its reading is infinite.
So we find the related chip,take it down,and BGA a new one.
Connect it to the stablized voltage power and check out its current.Still, the current wouldn’t move.Keep looking for errors.
We found that the capacitor and something like that around vice-power ic has missed,which means that location is faulty.
Remove the vice-power ic,replace it with a new one.
Connect it to the stablized voltage power and check out its current.All is well.The power current is normal.
Install the motherboard,the battery connector remains some traces of oxidation.Was it burnt?Measure its voltage, 4V,normal.Connect all the cables we disconnected before.Boot it up,see the logo?
Power off.Peal off these stickers.Bolt these screws.Apply some adhesive,and fix its back cover for 30 mins.
